Stachus
The entrance gate to the old town with the pedestrian zone. The cooling area of the fountain, built by Winkler in 1972, is a popular stomping ground for locals and tourists in summer.
Englischer Garten
With a size of 373 ha, the English Garden is one of the largest inner-city green spaces in the world. Depending on the season, the park offers many opportunities for leisure activities of all kinds.
Viktualienmarkt
The Viktualienmarkt is Munich’s largest fruit and vegetable market. In 1807, a “herb market” began on the grounds of the abolished Heiliggeistspital (Hospital of the Holy Spirit), which expanded over time and already had today’s dimensions about 100 years ago.
